The Top Dog Film Festival was launched in 2017 to showcase the incredible bond between dogs and their people through independent films.

The Top Dog Film Festival toured NZ for the first time in 2018 with a paw-some sell-out tour, this cunningly canine filled program of heartwarming and inspiring dog films is back for its annual Kiwi tour.

The Top Dog Film Festival screens over 2 hours filled will delightfully doggy moments of joy and celebration of our beloved canine companions. This carefully curated program of short canine-themed films is comprised of the most inspirational, heart-warming and entertaining stories about dogs and their human companions, from independent films makers around the globe. Including a carefully curated selection of films of varying lengths and styles covering topics relevant to dogs and dog lovers.

Submit Your Film: We are looking for a broad selection of films to fill a 2 hour program. We are searching for one longer film (30mins to 40mins) and a number of short films (30 minutes and shorter) to make up our program.
